As a UX Researcher you have a pivotal role in understanding and advocating for enduserswhile collaborating with stakeholders andcross-functionalpartners tooptimizeproduct prototypesvalidateproduct and design willbe responsible forconducting quantitative and qualitative research synthesizing secondary research and translatinginsightsinto powerful stories. You will distillfindings into actionable insightsadvocate for customer and user needs collaborate onproductdesignsvalidatethem with users and more.
This position will be embedded in one of our projects in the federal healthcare IT industry such as the US Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Key Responsibilities
Work to support the UX vision and strategyestablishedby project leadership in alignment with businessobjectives.
Collaborate to form questions hypotheses and methods to effectively uncover insights and execute research plans to inform product and user experience decisions.
Help drive empathy andvalidateconcepts by conducting user interviews and surveys developing personas and conductingotherresearch.
Support effortsto discover and develop UX solutions byparticipatingin ideation sessions rapid testing and concept validation.
Help teams iterate by testing solutions for usability and accessibility running feedback sessions and conducting related research.
Communicate study results and user outcomes clearly and in an unbiased way using data to illustrate your users story.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree
5 years of professional UX research experience
Able to provide1 or morecase studiesdemonstratingyour research process and deliverables.
Candidate mustresidein the USbe authorized towork in the US and work must be performed in the US
Candidate must haveresidedin the US 3 of the last 5 years
Candidatemust be eligible for Federal public trust.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in psychology human computer interaction human factors or relatedfield.
10 years of overall professional experience preferred.
Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 Level AA / Section 508 compliance preferred.
Experience in federal contracting or healthcare IT preferred.
Active or past clearance to work with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services or the US Department of Health and Human Services.
Professional Skills
Complete tasks effectively and on schedule as part of a broader development team.
Participate in an Agile process to learn quickly and iterate on your projects user experience.
Understand research ethics and best practices to protect participants and control bias including informed consent personally identifiable information NDAs and related concepts.
Understanding of usability and accessibility including heuristic and expert methods.
Strong research skills in at least one branch ofresearchsuch as qualitative quantitative and design-based methods.
Demonstrate excellent written visual and verbal communication.
Ability to work successfully with a cross-functional diverse and distributed remote development team.
