Job Description

1. Company Information

Our client is a newly established, well-capitalized law firm based in Scottsdale, backed by a sophisticated investment platform. The firm is built with a modern, growth-oriented vision—combining the agility of a boutique practice with the resources and strategic support of an institutional partner.

Focused on delivering high-quality legal services with a business-minded approach, the firm is actively expanding its presence across key practice areas relevant to the Arizona market. This is a unique opportunity for an attorney to join at an early stage and play a meaningful role in shaping both the practice and the broader firm strategy.

2. Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a caseload within a specialty practice area (e.g., personal injury, trust & estates, private client services, or business-related matters).
  • Provide strategic, solutions-oriented legal counsel to clients, with a strong emphasis on client service and relationship management.
  • Handle matters from inception through resolution, including drafting, negotiation, and, where applicable, litigation or transactional oversight.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, or negotiations, depending on the practice area.
  • Partner with firm leadership to build and scale a core practice area, including contributing to strategic growth initiatives.
  • Participate in business development efforts, including cultivating referral networks, leveraging existing relationships, and identifying new opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support the firm’s broader platform and deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and support staff as the team continues to grow.

3. Job Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in Arizona.
  • 5–10+ years of experience within a defined specialty practice area (e.g., personal injury, trust & estates, or similar high-demand practice in the Scottsdale market).
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage matters and operate with limited oversight.
  • Strong understanding of Arizona legal frameworks and market dynamics within the chosen practice area.
  • Proven client management skills and a track record of delivering high-quality legal work.
  • Business development experience or an entrepreneurial mindset, with a desire to help build and grow a practice.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
