**Job Description:**
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and accurate administration of medications to patients, contributing towards their overall health and well-being.
**Responsibilities:**
- Administer prescribed medications to patients as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Document the administration of medication accurately in patient records.
- Monitor patients for any adverse effects following medication administration and report observations to the appropriate healthcare personnel.
- Ensure medication carts and storage areas are organized and comply with healthcare regulations.
- Assist healthcare professionals in patient assessments and in updating medication plans.
- Educate and inform patients about their medications and potential side effects as necessary.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare staff to provide comprehensive patient care.
**Qualifications:**
- Certification or licensure as a Medication Aide as required by state regulations.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
