Law Clerk

Hupy and Abraham S.C., an AV-rated personal injury law firm, is looking for a motivated  Law Clerk   for our  West Des Moines or Davenport office . 

Our  Law Clerks  support our litigation attorneys with legal document production, legal case law research, and screening new client calls. Their duties include, but are not limited to the following;

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Draft summons/complaints, motions, discovery, and other pleadings
• Legal Research
• Brief Writing 
• Screening Potential Clients
• Trial Preparation 
• Other duties as assigned by a litigation attorney

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Qualified candidates must have earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and be eligible or in the process of taking the Iowa Bar Exam or licensed by the Iowa State Bar.
• Demonstrated superior customer service skills
• Innovative problem resolution
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced/dynamic environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality
