Job Description

SEARCH MANDATE:

Our private equity client is seeking a transformational Chief Executive Officer to run a high-growth SaaS platform. The portfolio company is executing an aggressive growth thesis that blends organic expansion with strategic M&A to drive significant revenue acceleration through exit.

COMPENSATION:

INVESTMENT THESIS:

Transform the business and drive scale within 5 years.

  • Build industry's dominant SaaS Platform through product expansion and tuck-in acquisitions
  • Transform this entrepreneurially led company into a powerful platform business.
  • Acquire add-ons that will add scale, product, cross-sell, and multiple arbitrages.

THE SPONSOR:

This San Francisco-based private equity firm has a solid history of scaling businesses. Its sector specialties include SaaS, defense, aerospace, critical infrastructure services, industrial & medical technology, life sciences and specialty materials. Today the sponsor owns 27 portfolio companies and has $1.2B in cumulative capital commitments.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes:

  • Business Model: PE-backed SaaS
  • Functional: Current CEO or President, or a proven #2 leader (e.g., a CRO or VP of Sales with full sales P&L ownership, or a COO with demonstrated P&L oversight)
  • Orientation: Commercial and operational experience in a SaaS business
  • Private Equity Experience: Highly Preferred
  • Tenure: 10-20 years of progressive sales leadership
