Job Description

SkyBridge Luxury has partnered with a high‑profile, sky‑level Manhattan dining destination to identify an Assistant General Manager who can thrive in an environment defined by precision, spectacle, and elevated hospitality. This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role at one of New York’s most architecturally striking, experience‑driven culinary spaces — a room where the energy of the city, the refinement of luxury service, and the choreography of a world‑class team converge every night.

Assistant General Manager — Role Summary

This venue operates at the intersection of modern luxury, high‑touch service, and immersive guest experience . The environment is fast‑paced yet meticulously controlled, with a guest mix that includes industry leaders, global travelers, and New Yorkers seeking a refined, transportive dining moment. The AGM is expected to be a floor‑forward, service‑obsessed leader who can uphold the property’s elevated standards while inspiring a team to deliver excellence with warmth, confidence, and consistency.

You will serve as the second‑in‑command , partnering closely with a seasoned General Manager and a highly collaborative culinary and beverage leadership team. The role demands a leader who is polished, intuitive, and unflappable — someone who can read the room instantly, anticipate needs before they surface, and maintain a sense of calm even during peak service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the dining room with presence and precision , ensuring every service period reflects the venue’s luxury standards and signature guest experience.
  • Coach, mentor, and elevate the front‑of‑house team , reinforcing a culture of professionalism, warmth, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee service flow and floor operations , including pacing, table touches, VIP management, and real‑time problem solving.
  • Support financial performance , contributing to forecasting, cost control, purchasing discipline, and P&L awareness.
  • Partner with culinary and beverage leadership to ensure seamless alignment between service, menu execution, and guest expectations.
  • Cultivate guest relationships , ensuring interactions feel personal, intuitive, and polished — especially for high‑visibility clientele.
  • Maintain operational discipline , including compliance, cleanliness, safety, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Drive team communication , leading pre‑shift meetings, service recaps, and ongoing training initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • NYC luxury or high‑end dining experience , with a strong understanding of elevated service standards and guest psychology.
  • A hands‑on, floor‑driven leadership style — visible, engaged, and deeply connected to the guest experience.
  • Emotional intelligence and composure , with the ability to lead confidently in a high‑pressure, high‑expectation environment.
  • Strong operational acumen, including financial literacy, systems thinking, and organizational discipline .
  • A leadership presence that blends authority with warmth , and structure with genuine hospitality.
  • A passion for creating memorable, choreographed service moments that feel effortless to the guest.

Why This Role Is Exceptional

This is not a typical AGM position — it is an opportunity to lead within one of Manhattan’s most visually iconic, experience‑driven dining rooms. The property offers:

  • A high‑caliber, deeply professional team
  • A culture that values precision, polish, and guest‑centric excellence
  • A leadership environment that rewards maturity, creativity, and operational mastery
  • The chance to contribute to a venue that is both a culinary destination and a design landmark
